Can I Get A Dental Implant The Same Day As An Extraction?

Can I Get A Dental Implant The Same Day As An Extraction? The "One Day Smile" refers to a sophisticated dental surgery in which the patient receives a dental implant on the same occasion as the damaged tooth or teeth are extracted—avoiding the recovery period following the tooth extraction saves a significant amount of time.

During the procedure, the tooth (or teeth) in question will be extracted in as gentle a manner as is humanly possible in order to minimize the amount of the supporting bone tissue that is lost. The quantity of bone tissue that is still present is an essential factor in determining whether or not the treatment will be successful.

This treatment method can reap the benefits of the underlying physiological mechanism after tooth removal before implant bone fusion. In other words, the implant is permanently attached to the jawbone. The therapy differs from patient to patient; for example, the procedure would be different if you are missing only one tooth but also need a full-mouth replacement.

Teeth In A Day Treatment Is Not Suitable For Everybody

The vast majority of patients who are in good general health and do not smoke (or are prepared to stop smoking before surgery) have the option of receiving the dental implant on the same day that the damaged teeth are taken. On the other hand, you should not have it if you have a weak jawbone, gum disease, or an inflammatory condition. Furthermore, it is also not recommended for those who grind their teeth.
